A landmark pre-WWI aviation image from the first great international air show in Frankfurt—the forerunner of today’s ILA. Examples are scarce on the market; clean, linen-backed impressions of this size and condition are sought by collectors of zeppelin/airship material and German Art-Nouveau graphics. This sheet shows excellent colour; light, age-consistent toning at the borders; and a faint water mark at upper right (see detail photos). Early aviation sheets survive in far smaller numbers than later airline posters; clean, linen-backed examples of this image are scarce and sought after by zeppelin/airship and Jugendstil collectors.
